Prof. Anuradha Mahasinghe serves as a Professor of Computational Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Colombo, where he has made significant contributions to research, teaching, and curriculum development. He is also the Deputy Director of the Centre for Mathematical Modelling, playing a leading role in advancing mathematical modelling education and research in Sri Lanka.
Prof. Mahasinghe completed his BSc (Hons, First Class) in Mathematics and PhD through a split programme involving the University of Colombo and the University of Western Australia. His academic journey includes postdoctoral research at the University of Auckland and advanced study in quantum computing at the University of California, Berkeley.
His research portfolio includes work on quantum computing algorithms, optimization techniques, and mathematical structures, and he has published in internationally recognized scientific journals.
